Itinerary

Thursday, Sept. 18:

After securing our COVID test results, finally arrived in Split. Toured the magnificent Diocletian Palace. Then headed to the new Marina Baotic Apartments next to the Dream Yacht Charter Base. Gorgeous view of the marina!

Friday, Sept. 19:

Hired a passionate tour guide to take us via van to Sibenik then Krka Waterfalls.

Saturday, Sept. 20:

Boarded the boat at 2pm, then headed to the port village of Maslinica on the Island Šolta, which overlooks an archipelago of seven islets. Moored next to a restaurant in Sesula Bay, Konoba Sesula, then ate there. The lamb chops were delicious!

Sunday, Sept. 21:

Sailed to the old fishing port of Komiža on the Island Vis. Rented scooters and went all the way to the east end of the island and saw pebble beaches. The island has a lush landscape that is brimming with vineyards.

Monday, Sept. 22:

Sailed to Biševo Island to explore the Blue Cave with a guided tour. Also stopped by the Green Cave.

Sailed on to Vis town and its 16th century villas. We dinghied to shore to dine at Dionis Restaurant - which specialized in rib eye steaks.

Tuesday, Sept. 23:

Made for Hvar in some rain. Hvar is an island full of beautiful lavender and herbs, as well as a reputation for being rather upmarket. Walked around Hvar’s harbor and the piazza, then climbed the steps up to tour the huge fortress that dominates the skyline.

Wednesday, Sept. 24:

Sailed around to the north of Hvar to Vrboska, a 15th century village near UNESCO-protected Stari Grad Plain. Marveled at the patchwork of paths and walls that cross the agricultural flats. Some of our crew rented bicycles.

Thursday, Sept. 25:

We set sail for the island of Brac and Milna on its west coast. The wonderful harbor, known as the bay of a thousand ships, offers fantastic local food and wine. However, we had so much food leftover that we ate dinner on board, but then took the dinghy at night - in the dark - to town for an enchanting walk with church bells ringing.

Friday, Sept. 26

Headed back to Trogir to disembark.

Explored the medieval walled city at Trogir which features architecture from the 13th century and the 3rd century bas-relief of Kairos within the Benedictine Monastery of St Nicholas. The historic center of Trogir has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

Saturday, Sept. 27

Disembarked by 9am and headed to the airport to catch early afternoon flights, or continued on to Dubrovnik.
