Ages 18 and up: A more Intensive class for those interested in honing their sailing skills on sloops in inland waters, along with an introduction to sailing larger boats on nearby coastal waters. Learn how to manage 2 sails, and a crew, on a 16ft to 22ft boat with experienced, SEAS Morris certified instructors. The Intermediate Sailing Class in an intense group of sessions will teach you winds and the effect of 2 sails, optimal sail positions of each sail, components of the boat, rigging the full sailboat, water safety procedures, rights on water ways, reading the weather and use of outboard motors. Also learn core skills to act as crew on a 35-foot keelboat.

Please note that this is an intense class due to the larger boat. It is recommended you start with the Basic Sailing if you have no sailing experience and enjoy this class after you have mastered the basics. This class is also perfect for those experienced adults who would value a refresher course to get back into sailing.

A one year SEAS membership is included with the purchase of the class.
