Water session:

This course is the same course material as for skipper candidates, for SEAScape, our 30 foot Pearson 303 sloop moored in City Island, The Bronx.  The First Mate students will participate in the same classroom zoom sessions, but will not be required to teach parts of the course.

The course material, classroom sessions, and water sessions will cover a coastal cruising curriculum appropriate for a 30 ft sloop rigged boat with an auxiliary engine.  The water session will focus on how to safely handle the boat.

NOTE: If there is enough interest, a second water session may be added in September to allow additional students.
