This unique opportunity will provide hands-on experience with docking, anchoring, and open ocean sailing as we journey from one picturesque Caribbean island to another.

Trip Details:

Vessel: 42ft Catamaran: A modern, spacious vessel offering a stable and fast sailing experience.

Skipper: Paul Duerk is a USCG Captain, ASA-certified and NauticEd (Captain) instructor with extensive sailing experience. Our skipper is passionate about teaching and ensuring that each participant gains valuable skills and confidence on the water.

Highlights:

Docking and Anchoring: Learn and practice essential techniques in a variety of conditions, enhancing your ability to manage these critical aspects of sailing.

● Experience Level: This class is designed for sailors with experience of cruising, first mates or small boat skippers.

● Commitment to Learning: Participants should be eager to actively participate and enhance their sailing skills, which includes pre-trip preparation, group learning and discussions and hands-on practice.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival and Orientation

● Meet at Jolly Harbour dinghy dock to board the vessels.

● Crew welcome dinner and an orientation session.

Day 2: Docking and Anchoring Drills

● Intensive docking and anchoring practice in a controlled environment.

● Evening discussion and feedback session.

Day 3: Open Ocean Sailing to

● Full-day sail to our first Caribbean island destination.

● Hands-on navigation and sail handling.

● Explore the island and enjoy a group dinner.

Day 4: Advanced Sailing Techniques

● Focus on advanced sail trim and boat handling.

● Afternoon leisure and optional island activities.

Day 5: Sailing to

● Open ocean sailing to the next location.

● Practice navigation and weather interpretation.

● Evening anchoring at a secluded bay.

Day 6: Final Skills Review and Free Sail

● Final review of key skills and techniques.

● Afternoon free sail to hone individual skills.

● Farewell dinner and certificate presentation.

Day 7: Departure

● Morning debrief and feedback session.

● Depart for home with new skills and memories.
