A wise man once said, “You can’t change the wind, but you can learn how to sail.”
Whether you’ve dreamed of exotic cruises in far-off lands or going out for a relaxing day in the sun on your local lake or bay, it all starts when you first step on a sailboat. At SEAS Morris, we believe that sailing is enjoyable for everyone, and we dedicate ourselves to providing hands-on classes for all levels, from beginners to experienced sailors, and trips for everyone.
SEAS is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the sport of sailing and the teaching of safe sailing skills, with a fleet of boats ranging from 13 to 35 feet at Budd Lake and on Raritan Bay, NJ. Our mission is to promote and encourage sailing activities as recreation and sport by providing low cost learn-to-sail programs. SEAS also encourages relationships among everyone interested in sailing craft and water safety.
We arrange charter vacation cruises, skippered by our experienced members, at numerous premier sailing locations both within the US and abroad. Recent cruises included sailing Newport RI and Long Island Sound, Scotland, the Bahamas, Cuba and Amalfi Italy. The chapter has qualified skippers and a program to train and qualify members as first mates and skippers.
